Dean Shaw came to Kim Tindall and Associates, LLC in April 2013 with 30 years of court reporting experience. He attended court reporting school at Bryan College of Court Reporting in Los Angeles in the 1980s, where he subsequently became an instructor specializing in court reporting theory, speed development, and English grammar at both Bryan campuses in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He was also a theory instructor in Austin, Texas, at Capital City Careers.

In 2001 Dean followed his students into the field, working in the capacity of business development and management for three nationwide court reporting companies in San Francisco, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., before deciding to return to his home state, Texas.

Although he has amassed close friends and associates in the court reporting and legal communities all across the country, he has happily settled into a great house in San Antonio across the street from his old family residence and has found a home at KTA.
